What’s Happen?

In Febrary 2019, Japnese police arrested some people who make a link to a joke site. It was unbelivable for us, Japanese programmer community because there seemed to be nothing guilty.

The site was cheep one. When the joke site is opened, it repeats to make popup. It has simple for loop and alert. Every programmers can make such site. Off course, this is not harmful.

We were also surprised that the police arrested people who make a link to the site, not the owner.

This case is posted in English here

After this, some Japanese programmer published a repository lets-get-arrested project.

There’s Another Case in Japan

This case is named “Case of the Wizard Bible”.

The Wizard Bible was a Japanese web magazine about computer security. In this case, the owner of the Wizard Bible was arrested and convicted and the Wizard Bible was closed. Off course, the Wizzard Bible is not harmful.
